2nd Best Question Ever [How to become BFFs with your favorite celebrity Pastor]

Nov 2 2010

Andy Stanley wrote a book called “the best question ever”. You should read it because uh, it tells you the best question ever. And its a great book.
I love Andy Stanley, but I’m making a jump on him. I’m stealing and trademarking “the 2nd best question ever” so when he decides to write a sequel to his book, his agent will call him and be like ‘dude Andy, some Nigerian guy already trademarked that title’...

Then Andy will email me and be like ‘hey lets be best friends’ and I’ll be like ‘sure but the only way I’m giving up that title is if you and I can get some Chinese food then watch Braveheart in our matching BFF PJ’s while holding hands. Ok, fine, scratch that last part but I’m not budging on the PJ’s’. Its a perfect plan. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to let you know when he calls me.

In the meantime, I have a question for you. Its not the best question ever [maybe 2nd?] but It is by far one of my favorite questions to ask people because it not only reveals so much about how God wired you but it also brings out one of the most beautiful treasures of following Jesus; the ability to dream God-sized dreams.

God-sized dreams;
We’ve all got them but often times they are buried underneath piles of unavailable resources, unbelief, “thats-impossible” thoughts and “its-never-been-done-before-isms”. And the older we get, the deeper they are buried. Its like age and experience have a knack for killing our dreams.

I believe this question could awaken them again if answered thoughtfully and honestly. It could awaken you. Why? Because thats what God-sized dreams do. God-sized dreams make your eyes light up and the hairs on your hands stand up.

God-sized dreams make you come alive. FULLY ALIVE.

God sized dreams is what following Jesus is all about.

So sit back, dig deep and answer the following question as best as you can.

If resources weren’t a problem and anything was possible, what would you do with your life?

There a no rules or limitations. No boundaries or exceptions. Everything is possible.

If resources weren’t a problem, what would you do for the next 50 years? [Where would you go? What would you start? What would you risk? e.t.c]

For with God, nothing shall be impossible... [Luke 1:37]
I am the Lord, the God of all mankind, Is anything too difficult for me? [Jeremiah 32:27]
