The craziest thing I've ever heard about Gods love.

I grew up in church so I've pretty much heard any and everything you can tell me about Gods love.

He loves us unconditionally. Got it.

He loves us in spite of our weaknesses, sin and baggage. Right on.

He loves us more than we could ever imagine. Amazing.

God loves us. I get it.

I'm not saying I fully 'get it' get it, just that I've heard it all. Well, at least that's what I thought until Pastor Bill dropped this bomb a few months ago. I can honestly say I've never heard or thought about Gods love like this before:

God loves you as much as he loves Jesus.

I honestly don't know what to do with that.

I wanna believe it but I feel a major push back in my heart.

God loves me. I know. I know.

But as much as Jesus?

Come on. Its Jesus. He can't love me that much could he?

I mean. Its Jesus. Come on.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Stop Joshing me.

I know he loves me a ton. Again, more than I could ever imagine. Enough to send his son to die for me.

But God loves me as much as he loves Jesus?

I don't know what to do with that.

What do you think?

Does God love us as much as he loves Jesus? And if so, why is that so hard for me to believe?
