Dating, Divorce, Some Ninjas and Dan from Sanctus Real

The following is part 1 of 5 emails exchanged between my friend Dan [base player of Sanctus Real] and I over the last month. We talk mostly about dating, marriage and divorce with some ninjas sprinkled inbetween. Enjoy.

Dan,
Hey bro. It’s Sammy. I just wanted to email you so I could tell all my friends that I once emailed a “Grammy nominated” artist. So yea, if you could please respond to this email signed “Grammy nominated artist who was in the same room as Usher, Justin Bieber and Eminem”, it would make my day.

By the way, what did you do when the Beiber ninja's showed up?...

Crazy.

Anyways, while you were walking down the same red carpet as Gaga's egg, I blogged about dating and relationships here, and it blew up. Seriously, it’s by far the most dialogue I've ever had on the blog (my page-views almost tripled).

The only thing more surprising was how diverse the audience was. I heard from singles, daters (is that a word?), marrieds, Christian married to non-Christian, Christian who divorced a non-Christian, etc.

The only perspective I was missing was from a Christian marriage [both followers of Jesus] that ended in divorce. That’s where you come in. You're a Christian (uh, my bad, what I meant to say was 'Grammy nominated Christian artist') whose “Christian marriage” ended in divorce.

Not a story you hear very often but as I try to challenge Christian college students regarding how they approach relationships, I think a perspective like yours is exactly what they need to hear.

I know this is a big request but I was wondering if I could pick your 'Grammy nominated brain' on relationships. Hit me up when you get over your Grammy hangover.

PS - Just so you know, I was once in the same room as Moses. Remember Charlton Heston? Yea, I once met him. Well not really. I didn’t talk to him but we were once in the same room. And I kind of bumped into him while he was walking by. It was incredible. OK, fine, it's not the same as being in the same room as "The Biebs". Man, you sure do know how to rub it in don't you?
