How to cure your zits without feeding your dog Chipotle

I used to think Zits were caused by oily hands and dirty germs on your face until my daughter informed me that zits were in fact caused by not feeding your dog.

She said in haiti whenever you are eating and a dog sits next to you to beg for food and you don’t feed it, if the dog stares at you long enough, a zit pops up on your face...

So in other words, the reason I had a mini volcano erupting from my forehead was because my dog stared at me when I didn’t give her a bite of my Chipotle last week.

I was trying so hard not to laugh because I could tell she was serious, and then she said this;

"Dad, don’t worry. You can cure your zit. Just don’t talk to anyone when you wake up tomorrow, then blow some air in your cupped hands and cover your zit area with it"

"And?"

"And nothing. Thats it. If you do that dad, your zit will be gone"

Unbelievable.

I wasn’t sure whether to laugh, cry or call Proactive to let them know that my daughter just solved the age old zit problem in 5 seconds.

Either way I was pretty impressed by her childlike faith. I know it was pretty silly but that’s the point.

She believed it regardless of how stupid it sounded because someone she 'trusted' in haiti told her so.

Just like Moses stuck his staff in the sea because God told him so [what did he really expect?]

Or David who went to battle an armed giant with rocks? [really?]

Or Peter who, get this, got out of a boat to “walk on water” because Jesus told him to. [before you knock him for drowning, give him props for being ‘foolish’ enough to get out of the boat]

My point is, faith is not always complicated.

I’m not saying our faith is not grounded in facts and reason because it is. I’m just saying sometimes we just believe and do things simply because, well, because Jesus said so.

Faith is spelled R.I.S.K.

Believe.

What are some things we can just do simply because Jesus said so?
