Inadequate.
If the weight of my inadequacies were dumbbells, I'd be ripped.
"You know they will soon find out that there is less to you than it appears right?"
"You really think God is going to keep letting you bat?"
"Your inconsistency + your pride will NEVER equal being used by God for great things."
"Look. He's so much better than you. You're not that significant because you just found that out."
"Look. You're so much better than him. You're not that significant because you just thought that."
"Oh ye of little faith. You really are scared after all that God has done for you?"
There you go folks. That's what my inadequacy often sounds like.
I know I'm a pastor, blogger and speaker. I know I usually do what I do with such confidence and intensity. But don't be fooled people, I wrestle with feeling inadequate as much as the next person.
In fact, I don't think there's ever been a time when I have preached a sermon, written a blog post or pastored people without feeling SUPER inadequate.
All I can say is praise God for grace.
So what about you? What makes you feel inadequate & how do you fight your inadequacy? Am I alone on this?
What does your inadequacy sound like?
