What happens when an IPAD steps on a Goomba?

10 years ago, when I said I was Nigerian, people cheered. Then they asked me if I walked around naked and played tag with monkeys growing up. [Thanks to the Lion King for shaping 90% of how Americans view Africans].

Today when I say I’m from Nigeria, people clench their wallets. Then they assure me that they can’t help me with my $50 million inheritance. [Thanks to the Nigerian scam emails]

Scams. Nakedness. Wildlife. Few things people associate with Nigerians. My hope is to add a few more through this blog: God. Family. Humor and free stuff.

What? free stuff? I thought all Nigerians ever gave away were goals at the world cup?
True. But hey, its a new dawn and this Nigerian is hooking YOU up.

I’m giving away an Ipod touch, which is like an ipad that just stepped on a goomba.

So, big question. Why? Easy, because I want you to read my blog. Look, I’m not gonna pretend that I don’t care if people read my blog because I do. I really do. Not because it makes me feel good about myself but because I care about people and helping them in small ways to walk with Jesus.

I don’t know how it’ll all go down, but here’s my hope.

I hope this blog encourages you to see how incredibly GREAT Jesus is.
I hope it nudges you from information to experience.
I hope it makes you laugh. Cry. Think. Breathe. Pause.
I hope it lets you see God in little ways and big ways, and side-ways.

I also hope you don’t just read and leave. I hope you interact. I need you to interact. Think of it like a potluck. I’m bringing the meat but I need u to bring some sides and desserts. You play a big part in this blog. It won’t work without you. I’m just here to initiate and moderate. And give away a free ipod, which is the only reason some of you are still reading this.
